Big Al, as he is known around the stables, is part of the restart program run by HKJC. He has completed a re-training assessment in Hong Kong before being exported to us for rehoming.

A big teddy bear! That is the best way to describe Big Al. Very easy to do everything with. Good on the flat and a willing learner. He loves to hack out, and is great in company, but can miss his mates when he goes off by himself and will call out.

He has no dirt him, buck bolt. No vices. Big Al is as his names suggests.....Big! He would be close to the 16.2hh mark, and we will officially measure him soon. He's not a bad mover and has a lovely canter. Al would have a great time doing dressage, adult riding club, pony club etc.

The main reason for export were his feet. Our farrier has done a great job with his platypus feet, and in the past few months he has started to grow some good hoof, and the wedge shoes have made a huge difference. We've taken our time with him and made sure his feet are headed in the right direction. His price is low due to this as he'll still need a good farrier for a bit yet, but he is definitely on the right path!
