DUCKY has turned into a bit of a sweet heart around the farm. Really starting to settle and relax into his work. And such a willing learner.
Bred in NZ. 16hh approx 8yo, by Rock'N' Pop x Vera De Bosset (Stravinsky). Fairly sensible chap. A little stressy when we first started him start, but not unmanageable. Relaxes into his work and starting to use himself correctly (his built a bit U shaped in front)
Not bad paces. Poppy canter, and likes to Jump! He hacks out alone well, and was excellent with the cattle the first time. Has be seen to windsuck. No issues with his legs. Some changes found in his back xrays but we haven't found this has bothered him. HKJC rated him a level IV - Full athletic work, no exclusions.
With more topline/condition, he should come up nicely, it will just take time, as he struggled to adjust to the Aussie climate, arriving in a very hot, wet and humid summer. Lovely and easy to handle.
